Tensions have escalated in Mudhipar village under the Janpad Panchayat area of Rajnandgaon district following fresh allegations of illegal plotting and encroachment on government land. Janpad Panchayat member Mohinish Kumar Dhankar has submitted a memorandum to the Rajnandgaon Collector, demanding strict and permanent action against those allegedly involved.
According to the memorandum, individuals identified as Raghavendra Singh, Pramod Chaudhary, and Hemant Singh have allegedly occupied government land and are carrying out unauthorized plotting activities. The matter had earlier been reported to the Tehsildar by the village sarpanch, panchs, and local residents.
Following the complaint, a site inspection was conducted by the area patwari, and a panchnama was prepared. The inspection reportedly confirmed illegal encroachment on government land.

The investigation further revealed that a pond sanctioned under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) was allegedly filled in to create an access road for illegal plotting. Additionally, it is alleged that a government drainage channel was tampered with, soil was dumped, and an unauthorized culvert was constructed to facilitate the encroachment.
It has also been pointed out that earlier, on the instructions of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), an encroachment removal drive had been carried out. However, the same individuals are accused of re-occupying the government land soon after the action.
The Janpad Panchayat member stated that due to continuous encroachment, grazing land in the village is rapidly diminishing, causing serious difficulties for local residents, particularly livestock owners. He has urged the district administration to immediately halt illegal plotting, permanently remove encroachments from government land, and initiate legal proceedings against those responsible.
