Last Rites of Young Kathavachak Krishna Shubham Maharaj Performed Amid Massive Public Turnout

Dr Raman Singh Expresses Condolences Over Phone Through Mayor, Assures Visit to Bereaved Family

The final rites of renowned young Kathavachak and torchbearer of Sanatan tradition, Krishna Shubham Maharaj, were performed on Tuesday at 11 am at the Mukti Dham in Lakholi, Rajnandgaon. Thousands of devotees, disciples, listeners of his discourses and members of the general public gathered to bid a tearful farewell as his mortal remains were consigned to the five elements. The entire atmosphere was filled with grief, devotion and deep reverence.

Family members, relatives, public representatives and social workers attended the funeral in large numbers. Prominent among those present were BJP District President Komal Singh Rajput, Mayor and former MP Madhusudan Yadav, and several members associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, including Vishnu Sahu, Nandu Sahu, Devsharan Sen, Ajay Khopadiyan, Purushottam Tiwari, Sameer Poddar, Ishwar Agrawal, Ramavatar Joshi, Ghanshyam Joshi, Durga Khokhariyan and Raju Tanwar.

A large number of workers from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bajrang Dal and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh also paid floral tributes and expressed condolences on the untimely demise of the young spiritual leader.

Addressing the gathering, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav said that he had been closely associated with the spiritual discourses of Krishna Shubham Maharaj for the past 15 years and had always received his guidance and blessings. He praised the late Kathavachak for his spiritual depth, simplicity and exemplary organisational abilities, adding that he shared a close familial bond with him.

The Mayor further informed that he had spoken over the phone with Assembly Speaker and former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh earlier in the day. Dr Singh expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Krishna Shubham Maharaj and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He also assured that he would personally visit the family soon to offer solace.

Madhusudan Yadav said he conveyed Dr Raman Singh’s condolence message to the family and described the demise of Krishna Shubham Maharaj as an irreparable loss to Sanatan Dharma and the religious fraternity. He added that the young Kathavachak would always be remembered for his powerful discourses, melodious voice and tireless efforts to connect the younger generation with religion and spiritual values.
