Grand Hindu Sammelan Organised at Singhola Under Nationwide Campaign

Processions, devotional performances and speeches emphasise unity, culture and national duty

Under a nationwide outreach campaign, the Sarv Hindu Samaj organised a grand Hindu Sammelan at the premises of Maa Bhaneshwari Temple in village Singhola, drawing enthusiastic participation from villagers and social organisations. The event witnessed a vibrant blend of devotion, culture and social messaging, transforming the village into a centre of religious and cultural fervour.

The programme began with a Kalash Shobha Yatra, which moved through village lanes amid kirtan, bhajans, and devotional singing by jas and seva bhajan mandalis. Upon reaching the venue, floral tributes and worship were offered to portraits of Bharat Mata and Chhattisgarh Mahatari, marking the formal inauguration of the conference.

Local children captivated the audience with folk dance performances, while Ramayan recitations and energetic devotional songs by the jagrata mandali added to the spiritual atmosphere. Addressing the gathering, young poet Sachin Nishad, coordinator of Singhola Mandal, delivered the introductory address, urging people to lead disciplined lives rooted in national duty, service and moral values.

The main address was delivered by Daman Tarar, Department Functionary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), who stressed that although India is home to diverse castes and communities, it is united by the shared ethos of Sanatan Hindu Dharma. He called upon people to rise above caste divisions and remain dedicated to the nation, stating that preserving traditions, customs and cultural values passed down by ancestors is a collective responsibility. He also highlighted the need to instil these values in future generations.

Addressing women participants, Sharada Chandra, Department Pracharika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, described women as the foundation of the nation, asserting that Indian women are strong and empowered, not weak. She urged maternal power to remain steadfast in protecting religion and culture, adding that service to Bharat Mata is the highest duty and a source of divine blessings.

Prominent personalities present at the event included Pushpendra Nishad (District Pracharak, RSS), Nand Kishore Sahu, Khushbu Rakesh Sahu, Pushpa Gayakwad, and Pushpa Uikey. The programme was smoothly conducted by poet Roopa Sahu of Risali, Bhilai, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Gopendra Sahu.

The success of the event was made possible through the collective efforts of members of the Maa Bhaneshwari Temple Committee, including Nand Kumar Sahu (President) and Roshan Sahu (Secretary), along with active support from numerous villagers and volunteers. Organisers termed the conference a significant step towards social unity, cultural awareness and community mobilisation in the region.
