Yoga Movement Gains Momentum: Preparations Intensify for 25-Day Training Camp

Patanjali Bharat Swabhiman Trust finalizes plan to train yoga instructors and promote Ayurveda-based healthy lifestyle through an intensive 25-day camp.

In a significant step toward transforming yoga into a mass movement, a key meeting was organized at the district office of Patanjali Bharat Swabhiman Trust located in Mahesh Nagar, Rajnandgaon. The meeting focused on expanding the reach of yoga and Ayurveda among the general public and strengthening organizational activities at the grassroots level.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the importance of establishing yoga training institutes to promote holistic health practices. Participants also deliberated on various philosophical and spiritual concepts, including Antargan Chatushtaya, Navadha Bhakti, Vijay Rath, Yoga Darshan, and selected principles from the 195 Sutras of Patanjali Yoga, emphasizing their relevance in modern life.

The session was conducted by State In-charge of Patanjali Yuva Bharat Chhattisgarh, Goswami Jayant Vishnu Bharti, who highlighted the growing importance of yoga as a preventive healthcare system and a way of life. State executive member Khilendra Sahu, along with committee members Hemant Tiwari, Dilip Kumar Ram, Kaushal Sahu, Dharmendra Sahu, Akash Dewangan, Kishore Maheshwari, Sanjay Kawad, Manoj Ladda, Saurabh Khandelwal, Arun Bhaskar Gupta, and several other office bearers and volunteers, attended the meeting.

25-Day Training Camp Scheduled

A major outcome of the meeting was the finalization of the framework for an upcoming 25-day Cooperative Teacher Training Camp, scheduled to be held from April 21 to May 15, 2026. The training sessions will take place at Mahesh Nagar Hall and the premises of Aastha Deaf and Mute School.

The training program aims to prepare qualified yoga instructors who can further spread awareness about yoga, pranayama, and Ayurvedic practices across communities. Participants will undergo intensive practical and theoretical sessions covering yoga postures, breathing techniques, Ayurvedic principles, and lifestyle management through yogic practices.

The meeting also reviewed arrangements related to trainer deployment, participant registration, and publicity strategies to ensure maximum participation. Members collectively resolved to fulfill their assigned responsibilities with dedication to make the program successful.

Committee office bearers emphasized that the training camp represents a crucial initiative toward turning yoga into a people’s movement and inspiring citizens to adopt healthier lifestyles.
