This remarkable feat, accomplished on May 18, 2025, has earned entries in the Golden Book of World Records, Asia Book of Records, and India Book of Records, highlighting the state’s commitment to rapid and high-quality infrastructure development. The Ganga Expressway, a 594-km, 6-lane (expandable to 8) greenfield project connecting Meerut to Prayagraj, is set to reduce travel time between these cities from 12 hours to just 6-7 hours, boosting connectivity and economic growth in the region.

The records were set under the leadership of the Uttar Pradesh government, with real-time AI quality checks ensuring precision and efficiency. The construction involved laying 20,105 metric tons of bituminous concrete, demonstrating an unprecedented scale of engineering excellence.
