To commemorate the completion of two years of the state government, the Public Relations Department organised the “Two Years of Continuous Service, Continuous Development” programme at Rani Sagar Chaupati in Rajnandgaon city on Thursday. The event unfolded in a festive atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, joy and public participation.

The programme featured vibrant Chhattisgarhi cultural performances along with a series of interactive and entertaining activities aimed at spreading awareness about government schemes and the district’s heritage. Citizens from all walks of life—youth, women, children and senior citizens—actively participated, making the event a true celebration of public engagement.
During the programme, beneficiaries of government schemes shared their experiences. Hemant Pandey, a beneficiary of the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, said that installing solar panels under the scheme had reduced his electricity bill to zero, while also generating surplus power.

RJ Animesh hosted an engaging quiz session based on Rajnandgaon district’s art, culture, special features and welfare schemes. A question related to the confluence of rivers at the Rajim Kumbh in the sacred town of Rajim drew applause when Class VI student Toshi Thakur correctly named the Pairi, Sondur and Mahanadi rivers. Participants were also asked to identify everyday objects in the Chhattisgarhi language, adding a local flavour to the programme.
Several rounds included wildcard entries and helpline options, keeping the audience involved throughout. Vinay Sahu answered a visual-based question related to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, while a question on public participation in providing meals in schools was correctly answered as Jeevika Nyohta Bhoj, impressing the audience.

When questions related to sports in Chhattisgarh were posed through gestures, participant Navyansh showcased his sharp thinking by identifying the Bastar Olympics. Participants also responded to questions on the Jal Jeevan Mission, Hareli festival, paddy procurement and the Krishak Unnati Yojana.
The programme was further enlivened by humour and music. RJ Animesh and Yogita entertained the audience with their wit, while Aruna Sahu, Bhavana Sahu and Pinky Sahu added excitement through a tongue-twister challenge. Young Navya performed “Ram Aayenge…”, while Ghamendra Sahu and Nikhil Jain rendered the popular song “Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai…”, earning warm applause.

Joint Director, Public Relations, Raipur, Ms Ismat Jahan Dani, and Joint Director, Public Relations, Rajnandgaon, Dr Usha Kiran Badaik, felicitated participants who delivered outstanding performances by presenting them with prizes. The department also distributed its monthly publication Janman during the programme.
Overall, the event proved to be an engaging blend of entertainment, information and public outreach, reflecting the spirit of continuous service and development over the past two years.
