“Students, Teachers, and Officials Unite for Environmental Commitment under Mission LiFE Initiative”

In a heartening display of environmental responsibility, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dongargarh, organized a tree plantation drive under the nationwide campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Mission LiFE’ on July 9. The event witnessed active participation from local officials, school staff, and students, all united by a common goal—to safeguard nature for future generations.
Tehsildar of Dongargarh, Mr. Neelkanth Janbandhu, Tehsildar of Bhilai, Mr. Sonit Kumar Meriya, Patwari of Bholehswar Sahu Badhiyatola, and Principal Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mandal graced the occasion with their presence. Teachers and a large number of students enthusiastically took part in the initiative, showcasing their commitment towards a greener planet.

The plantation drive was organized under the guidance of faculty members including Mr. Sunil Kumar Verma (TGT Science), Mr. Deepchand Chaurasia (Social Science), Physical Education Teacher Mr. Anil Kumar Pal, and Mr. Ashok Kumar Bisen and Mr. Ramkumar Chandra.
Speaking at the event, Principal Sanjay Kumar Mandal highlighted the urgent need to combat pollution, calling tree plantation one of the most effective solutions. “Trees not only purify the air but also rejuvenate life on Earth by enhancing its greenery,” he stated.
Students also shared insightful thoughts on environmental conservation and pledged to contribute to a sustainable future. The program saw full participation from the entire school community, transforming the event into a collective promise for a greener tomorrow.
