The State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) has approved ₹2.04 crore for the beautification of two ponds and a crematorium in Lalbahadur Nagar Nagar Panchayat. The sanction was issued after approval from Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration Minister Arun Sao.

Development works exceeding ₹80 lakh have been initiated across three wards of Rajnandgaon under various government and public representatives’ funds. Mayor Madhusudan Yadav performed bhoomipujan for road construction, community building renovation, and drainage projects, emphasizing that ongoing development reflects the collective support of the MLA Dr. Raman Singh, MP Santosh Pandey, and the state government.
Under the ‘Mor Makan Mor Aas’ initiative, a component of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), long-term tenants in Rajnandgaon are now being offered their own permanent homes at affordable, government-determined rates. With 1,282 multi-storey houses fully constructed in areas like Lakhouli, Pendri, Mohara, and Rewadeeh, and another 648 units under various stages of construction, the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation is set to conduct a lottery on 15 May 2025 to allocate these homes.
Continuing his proactive approach to civic issues, Rajnandgaon Mayor Madhusudan Yadav visited Motipur, Ramnagar, and Khandelwal Colony early in the morning to assess water supply and sanitation concerns. He also inspected major public gardens for maintenance and development needs.
