Chhattisgarh is promoting homestay tourism to create employment and self-employment opportunities in tribal regions. Beneficiaries from Surguja, Jashpur, Kabirdham and Bastar received training in homestay management, tourism policy and digital marketing through a programme organised by TRTI.

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने बस्तर के नेतानार गांव में प्रसिद्ध बस्तर इमली का स्वाद चखते हुए इसकी गुणवत्ता की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि यह इमली “खट्टी नहीं, बल्कि बेहद मीठी” है। स्व-सहायता समूहों द्वारा किए जा रहे इमली प्रसंस्करण कार्य को आदिवासी महिलाओं की आर्थिक आत्मनिर्भरता और बस्तर के बदलते विकास मॉडल का प्रतीक बताया गया।
