Twenty-five senior citizens from Rajnandgaon were sent to AIIMS Raipur for free cataract surgeries under the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Scheme, as part of a district campaign aiming to make the region cataract-free.
Rajnandgaon district has emerged as Chhattisgarh’s top performer in Ayushman Bharat registrations, achieving 100% coverage under the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card scheme for senior citizens and leading the state in overall Ayushman Card enrollment, marking a major milestone in healthcare delivery.
Under the AYUSH Department’s Osteoarthritis Programme and the Siyan Jatan Clinic scheme, more than 4,000 senior citizens and over 1,200 patients have received effective treatment in Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki district, significantly improving rural healthcare outreach.
As part of Seva Pakhwada, the Social Welfare Department organized a vibrant event in Rajnanadgaon featuring cultural programs, awards, assistive device distribution, and the felicitation of Divyangjans, senior citizens, and social workers. The event showcased inclusive participation, with special school children delivering inspiring performances and beneficiaries receiving essential support services.
