AYUSH Department Expands Rural Healthcare Access in Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki District

Continuous efforts of the State Government and the AYUSH Department are significantly strengthening healthcare services across the district, ensuring direct benefits to rural communities and senior citizens. Under the guidance of the AYUSH Commissioner, Raipur, and leadership of District AYUSH Officer Dr. Shilpa Mishra, the National AYUSH Mission’s Osteoarthritis Programme is proving highly beneficial for patients suffering from joint pain.

In the Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki district, AYUSH physicians Dr. Shweta Sahu and Dr. Rashmi Kumbhkar are conducting four health camps every month across nearby villages, in addition to regular OPD services at AYUSH dispensaries.
According to Nodal Officer Dr. Dinesh Soni, a total of 1,234 patients have been successfully treated in 14 camps conducted so far this session. Patients undergoing AYUSH-based therapies have reported significant pain relief and overall health improvement.

Meanwhile, under the Siyan Jatan Clinic scheme, special healthcare services are being provided to senior citizens across the district. Every Thursday, citizens aged 60 years and above receive free treatment at seven AYUSH dispensaries — four Ayurveda and three Homeopathy centres.
These services cover ailments such as arthritis, gastric disorders, hypertension, diabetes, and other geriatric health conditions. Dr. Soni informed that 4,277 senior citizens have benefited under the scheme to date.

Both initiatives have not only delivered effective treatment but have also helped build trust and awareness regarding AYUSH therapies. The department aims to provide quality healthcare to the last person in the district, contributing to the creation of a healthier and more informed society.

Rajnandgaon Celebrates Independence Day with Grandeur and Patriotic Fervour

Rajnandgaon celebrated Independence Day 2026 with patriotic fervour at the Shaurya Parade Ground, where Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh unfurled the Tricolour and took the parade salute. Fifteen platoons participated in the ceremony, while school students presented colourful patriotic performances. PM Shri Sarveshwar Das School won first prize in the cultural programme, while the 38th Battalion ITBP topped the Armed Platoon category.
