Passengers at Rajnandgaon Railway Station have voiced concerns over the repeated shutdown of escalators and lifts, saying the disruptions create difficulties for commuters, especially senior citizens, women, persons with disabilities, and those carrying luggage. They have urged railway authorities to keep these facilities operational during train arrival and departure hours.
A large-scale joint mock drill involving district police, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), and railway authorities was conducted at Rajnandgaon Railway Station. The exercise included emergency response simulations, crowd management, suspicious baggage handling, and intensive security checks in trains and station premises.

For the first time, a special pilgrimage train departed from Rajnandgaon railway station under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Ayodhya Dham Yojana. Elderly devotees, including groups of close friends and couples, expressed overwhelming happiness as they embarked on a spiritual journey to Ayodhya. Pilgrims praised the Chhattisgarh government for providing free travel, meals, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit sacred sites.
