BJP leaders and workers in Rajnandgaon watched the live telecast of the Chhattisgarh Budget 2026–27 at the district office, praising it as inclusive, visionary, and focused on agriculture, infrastructure, employment, and social welfare.

Welcoming the Union Budget 2026 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP North Mandal President Sumit Singh Bhatia has termed it a “youth-focused budget” that strengthens the vision of Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Addressing a press conference, he said the budget lays a strong foundation for India’s golden future by prioritising infrastructure, sunrise sectors, skill development and citizen-centric growth.

BJP Cultural Cell in-charge Rajesh Gupta Agrahari has accused the Congress of promoting dynasty politics by favouring leaders’ sons over grassroots workers in the selection of city and district Congress presidents. He said the party’s internal promises of choosing leaders from among the “sons of the soil” have proved hollow, adding that this bias is driving many senior leaders away and weakening the Congress nationwide.

Senior Congress leader and Mumbai Congress Working President Charan Singh Sapra has begun a four-day tour of Rajnandgaon and the newly formed districts to supervise the party’s organizational restructuring process. Sapra, appointed as the official observer by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), will interact with local leaders, former ministers, and MLAs to prepare a panel for the appointment of new district presidents.
