Congress Gheraos IG Office Over Somni Minor Misconduct Case, Warns of Protest at Raman Singh’s Office

The Congress party staged a protest outside the Inspector General’s office in Rajnandgaon over the alleged mistreatment of a 14-year-old girl in the Somni police station area and the reported procurement of allegedly fake pregnancy test kits in the health department. The party demanded immediate action against those responsible and warned of a future gherao of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh’s office if their demands remain unaddressed.

Four Arrested for Creating Panic and Assaulting Passersby in Vegetable Market Area

Rajnandgaon police have arrested four alleged troublemakers accused of creating fear in the Sabjiganj market area and assaulting passersby after demanding money for alcohol. Four juveniles involved in the incidents have also been placed in protective custody under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.
