Accompanied by top defence officials, she led a solemn wreath-laying ceremony, inspiring citizens with her unwavering respect and dedication to the armed forces, even amidst the downpour.
New Delhi, August 17, 2025: A distinguished dignitary expressed pride and gratitude after being invited by President Droupadi Murmu to the prestigious ‘At-Home’ reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day. The invitee called the moment “an unparalleled honor,” marking the celebration as a symbol of national unity, pride, and shared responsibility towards India’s progress.
On Independence Day, Rajnandgaon District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh and her team were felicitated by Speaker Dr. Raman Singh for outstanding contributions in rural development, water conservation, and innovative programs during the main ceremony at Shaurya Parade Ground.
The Mohla district administration marked Independence Day with a ‘Freedom Run’ carrying patriotic slogans and messages of unity. Collector Tulika Prajapati called on citizens to uphold civic responsibility, while officials urged water conservation and a drug-free lifestyle.
Rajnandgaon marked Independence Day with an enthusiastic Independence Run and Tricolour Rally, flagged off by the Mayor and Collector. Hundreds of citizens, officials, students, and athletes joined the event, blending patriotism with a message of health and cleanliness.
District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh chaired the weekly time-limit meeting at the Collectorate, directing officials to ensure all arrangements for Independence Day celebrations, including stage setup, security, seating, decorations, and drinking water facilities. The final rehearsal will be held on August 13 at 8:40 AM, while a Freedom Run is scheduled for August 14 at 7:20 AM. Singh emphasized adopting e-file operations in all departments and reviewed preparations for the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. She also instructed departments to gear up for the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years of statehood, with events such as exhibitions, nutrition fairs, and awareness programs. Officials also discussed the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and upcoming camps for issuing income, caste, and residence certificates across villages starting August 20.
