Janpad Panchayat Rajnandgaon President Pratima Chandrakar has installed a 3 kW solar panel at her residence under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, receiving ₹1.08 lakh in Central and State subsidies, with her electricity bill now reduced to zero.

The meeting also reviewed progress on smart meter installation, feeder separation, transformer maintenance, and various state and central power schemes.
The Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company has launched an extensive awareness campaign across Mohla, Chhuria, Dongargaon, Rajnandgaon, Khairagarh, and Dongargarh under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. The initiative aims to promote rooftop solar installations by providing on-the-spot registration and guidance on the online application process. Over 6,500 applications have already been received, with many beneficiaries now enjoying free, uninterrupted, and eco-friendly power.
