In a remarkable achievement for Chhattisgarh, Rajnandgaon district has been selected as the Best District in the East Zone under the 6th National Water Awards 2024, announced by Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil. The prestigious award, recognizing excellence in water conservation and community participation, will be conferred by President Droupadi Murmu on November 18, 2025 in New Delhi.

Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam concluded his week-long India visit with a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The leaders reaffirmed the deep-rooted cultural, spiritual, and familial ties between India and Mauritius, highlighting trade, maritime security, climate resilience, and youth empowerment as future priorities.
