Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation has intensified civic action ahead of the monsoon and upcoming Ganesh festival, focusing on road repairs, drain cleaning, streetlight restoration, encroachment removal and drinking water supply. Special monitoring is also underway in waterlogging-prone areas, while measures are being taken to improve sanitation and control stray cattle.

Rajnandgaon Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma chaired a review meeting of ward-wise nodal officers to assess the implementation of basic civic services and development works. The meeting focused on sanitation, waste management, drinking water supply, infrastructure projects and preparedness ahead of the proposed visit of the Urban Administration Department Secretary.

Mayor Madhusudan Yadav visited the Police Line 18 Acre area in Rajnandgaon and directed officials to take immediate measures to resolve drinking water supply issues, including interlinking water tanks and initiating borewell drilling ahead of the summer season.
