BJP to Observe ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ with Rallies and Public Meetings

The Rajnandgaon district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will observe August 14 as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, with rallies and public meetings planned across all four mandals. On August 13, the Rural East Mandal will organise a motorcycle rally from Tedesra to Surgi, flagged off by Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh. The following evening, North and South Mandal BJP units will lead a torch rally to raise awareness about the horrors of Partition and expose what the party calls Congress’s responsibility for the tragedy. District BJP President Komal Singh said that the Partition “tore India into two parts, severed Bharat Mata’s arms, and displaced millions of Hindus from Pakistan under horrific circumstances.” The events will also feature discussions on the significance of the national flag, addressed by farmer leader Ashok Choudhary, who credited Naveen Jindal’s efforts for securing the public’s right to hoist the tricolour.

Development Projects Worth ₹72 Lakh Launched in Ward 28 and 30 of Rajnandgaon

Development works worth ₹52 lakh in Ward No. 28 and ₹20 lakh in Ward No. 30 were formally launched with bhoomipujan ceremonies led by Mayor Madhusudan Yadav. Funded under the Urban Administration and Development Department with the recommendation of MLA Dr. Raman Singh and MP Santosh Pandey, the projects include construction of community halls, roads, drainage systems, and public platforms aimed at strengthening local infrastructure across both wards.
