As part of Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav, Rajnandgaon district has launched a mass campaign for 100% issuance of income, caste, and residence certificates through village-level camps from August 20–30, with free facilities for students.

Government Lal Shyam Shah College, Mohla, marked Chhattisgarh’s Rajat Jayanti celebrations with cultural performances, competitions, and a cyber security awareness program, blending tradition with modern-day social concerns.

A multi-departmental review meeting in Rajnandgaon assessed progress on critical schemes spanning health, forestry, women’s development, infrastructure, and education. Focus areas included Ayushman card services, water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission, electricity schemes, forestry initiatives, and innovative educational programs, with senior district officials and department heads in attendance.

An inspirational UPSC guidance program was held in Rajnandgaon, featuring 2025 IAS toppers, DFO Ayush Jain, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure, and CEO Shruti Singh. The event infused new energy and motivation among hundreds of aspirants. DFO Ayush Jain’s electrifying speech, highlighting the vast scope of UPSC and sharing personal strategies, was a major highlight. The program was live-streamed and praised widely by participants and senior journalist Ashok Pandey, who called it a milestone event for youth empowerment.

In a major move to curb illegal liquor trade, the Excise Department in Rajnandgaon seized 6.3 bulk litres of illicit Maharashtra-made country liquor and a motorcycle from a suspect during transportation. The operation, carried out under the directives of District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, led to the arrest of one individual and was part of an ongoing crackdown against bootleggers and public alcohol abuse.

In a sweeping crackdown under the directive of Collector Sanjay Agrawal, the Rajnandgaon Excise Department seized large quantities of illegal liquor and related materials in multiple raids across rural areas. Several offenders were apprehended and legal action initiated under the Excise Act, highlighting the administration’s zero-tolerance approach towards illicit liquor sales.
