The Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation is undertaking continuous initiatives to strengthen civic infrastructure, environmental conservation, sanitation services and public safety. From regular irrigation of roadside plantations to drainage cleaning drives and water supply improvements, multiple projects are being carried out to enhance the quality of life for city residents.

The first municipal election of the newly constituted Ghumka Nagar Panchayat concluded peacefully and smoothly under extensive security arrangements. Rajnandgaon Police maintained continuous surveillance and patrolling throughout the polling process, ensuring a safe and orderly environment for voters.

As part of Sushasan Tihar 2026, a public grievance redressal camp organized in Patpar Gram Panchayat under Dongargarh Janpad Panchayat witnessed strong public participation. Residents from 13 gram panchayats received on-the-spot assistance, while eligible beneficiaries availed benefits under various government welfare schemes.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organize a two-day training campaign in Rajnandgaon on June 2 and 3 under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Programme. Senior party leaders, including former Chief Minister and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, will address party workers on governance, ideology, organizational development and contemporary national issues.
