As Rajnandgaon prepares to welcome the Vice President of India for the inauguration of a modern eye hospital on November 5, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav and Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma led an early-morning city cleanliness inspection. Special directives were issued for daily cleaning at Hat Bazaar, Udayachal, and nearby public areas to ensure a spotless environment for the high-profile visit.

Collector Jitendra Yadav carried out a surprise inspection of Rajnandgaon District Hospital, reviewed facilities, interacted with patients, and directed immediate action against absent doctors while emphasizing better hygiene and timely completion of ongoing works.

Ahead of Diwali, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh will distribute sarees to Swachhata Didis, municipal women employees, and SHG members in Rajnandgaon on October 16. The civic event, also marking his birthday, aims to honor their vital role in keeping the city clean.

Rajnandgaon is set to witness a grand two-day celebration of Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh’s 73rd birthday on October 15. The festivities will include social welfare activities, cultural programs, and a spectacular “Kailash Kher Night” organized by Bhavesh Baid and the Youth Welfare Foundation. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, cabinet ministers, and senior BJP leaders will attend the events, making it a memorable confluence of music, devotion, and community spirit.

A one-day “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign in Kutulbodh-Bhatagaon village engaged residents, women’s groups, and students in cleaning drives, waste management activities, plantation, and awareness rallies, emphasizing collective action for a cleaner and healthier village.

Collector Tulika Prajapati, during her visit to Rengakthera village under the Adhi Karmyogi Campaign, emphasized collective participation in creating a Gram Vision for rural development. She highlighted cleanliness drives, caste certificate issuance for Anganwadi children, and livelihood opportunities for youth as key focus areas.

BJP South Mandal office bearers in Rajnandgaon are actively participating in Seva Pakhwada, organizing activities like cleanliness drives, health camps, blood donation, and awareness campaigns, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life of service and dedication.

Rajnandgaon’s Seva Pakhwada campaign gained momentum as citizens, students, and social groups enthusiastically joined the Clean and Green Festival. Mayor Madhusudan Yadav administered the oath of cleanliness while Morning Walk and Yoga Club members carried out plogging and park cleaning drives.

The Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan-2025 began in Rajnandgaon on September 17 under the theme “Swachhotsav,” continuing until Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. With cleanliness drives, shramdaan, and eco-friendly initiatives, the campaign aims to raise awareness and strengthen public participation in building a cleaner, greener district.

Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma inspected the Mohara immersion pond in Rajnandgaon, directing civic staff to ensure cleanliness, fresh water, proper lighting, and road maintenance ahead of the Ganesh festival.

During his visit to Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh planted a bael tree under the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign at Lalbagh Garden. He urged citizens to contribute towards making the city a national model of cleanliness in the coming year.
