The Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls 2026 is underway in Rajnandgaon, with the Mayor directing officials to speed up form collection and ensure no eligible voter is excluded. As Rajnandgaon prepares to welcome the Vice President of India for the inauguration of a modern eye hospital on November 5, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav and Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma led an early-morning city cleanliness inspection. Special directives were issued for daily cleaning at Hat Bazaar, Udayachal, and nearby public areas to ensure a spotless environment for the high-profile visit.

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav conducted a morning inspection of key city areas, instructing officials to intensify cleanliness efforts ahead of Diwali. He urged citizens to join the Swachhata drive and emphasized daily monitoring to ensure a clean and healthy urban environment.

The Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation has rolled out ward-level pension distribution camps from September 29 to November 14, 2025. The initiative, covering social security pensions for June–August, is aimed at providing convenience to senior citizens and other vulnerable beneficiaries. Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma assured that no pensioner would be left out.

In response to the rising water level in the Mohara River due to heavy rainfall, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav conducted an inspection of the Mohara Shivnath River and the city’s water treatment facility.
