The Chhattisgarh sub-junior hockey team made a grand opening at the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior National Championship by defeating Goa 4–0. In the vibrant spirit of Saawan, the women of Ward 36 in Lakholi came together for the grand ‘Saawan Sundari’ celebration, jointly organized by the South BJP Mandal Mahila Group and Nari Kalyan Self-Help Group. Adorned in traditional attire and solah shringar, participants showcased their cultural finesse through various competitions. Former MP Abhishek Singh, who graced the event as chief guest, lauded the women’s enthusiasm and called them symbols of empowerment and heritage.

As part of the nationwide “Srijan Sangathan 2025” initiative launched by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), former minister and Rajnandgaon district in-charge Anila Bhediya led a high-level meeting to restructure mandal and sector committees. Held at Satnam Bhavan, the meeting aimed to energize grassroots workers, induct youth into the party's fold, and expose the BJP's alleged failures at the booth level. Senior Congress leaders and MLAs offered strategic suggestions, and appointments were made to key organizational posts in both urban and rural blocks of the district.
