Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Neelu Sharma reviewed public grievances during a Jan Darshan programme in Rajnandgaon and directed officials to ensure prompt action. He said the initiative aims to accelerate grievance redressal while ensuring government welfare schemes reach every eligible beneficiary.

Rajnandgaon district has launched one of the toughest crackdowns in two decades against illegal paddy trade, following CM Vishnudev Sai’s strict directives. In just seven days, authorities have seized 3,859 quintals of illegal paddy worth over ₹1.19 crore, intensified border surveillance, and placed all 1,500 mandi licensees under scrutiny. The district is fast becoming a model for transparent paddy procurement.

During a weekly review meeting, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav emphasized that government schemes must yield visible ground-level impact. He called for teamwork, efficient implementation of Surya Ghar and Ujjwala schemes, strict monitoring of paddy procurement, and special focus on health and education sectors ahead of the Statehood Day celebrations.
