Appeals for Collective Efforts to Make Rajnandgaon a National Leader in Cleanliness

Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh took part in an environmental initiative today by planting a bael tree under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign at the roadside garden in Lalbagh during his official visit to Rajnandgaon.
Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of public participation in environmental conservation and civic responsibility. He appealed to all citizens to contribute actively so that Rajnandgaon ranks among the top cities in the country for cleanliness in the upcoming Swachh Bharat rankings.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from public representatives and residents. Among the dignitaries present were Mayor Mr. Madhusudan Yadav, District Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Mr. Sachin Baghel, Mr. Komal Singh Rajput, Mr. Santosh Agrawal, Councillor Mr. Raja Makhija, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Atul Vishwakarma, and SDM Mr. Khem Lal Verma, along with several councillors, political leaders, and citizens.
The “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign continues to gain momentum across the state, promoting emotional and environmental connections through tree plantation in the name of one’s mother.
