A second Aadhaar biometric and demographic update camp was held on Sunday in Ward No. 47, Mohara, Rajnandgaon, under the leadership of Education Department Chairman and Ward Councillor Alok Shroti. The repeat initiative aimed to address the growing demand among residents to update their Aadhaar details—especially mobile numbers, fingerprints, and demographic data—required for accessing government welfare schemes.

The day-long camp, which ran from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, was met with overwhelming response as 124 citizens successfully updated their Aadhaar information. This follow-up camp was organized due to the heavy turnout in the previous week’s event, where 138 residents availed of the services. The high demand showcased the pressing need for Aadhaar updates within the ward.

Speaking about the initiative, Councillor Alok Shroti emphasized the critical role of updated Aadhaar details in availing central and state government schemes. “Many residents have been unable to benefit from welfare programs because their mobile numbers linked with Aadhaar are either deactivated, lost, or belong to family members living away. This makes OTP-based verification impossible, especially for senior citizens and daily wage workers. Hence, updating mobile numbers and biometric details has become urgent,” he stated.

The camp was organized with the continued support of E-District Manager Saurabh Mishra. Technical assistance was provided by Leeladhar Kumbhkar and Kunj Bihari Kumbhkar from the CHiPS (Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society) office. Their seamless coordination ensured smooth operations and timely processing for all attendees.

BJP workers and community volunteers also played an active role in the success of the event. Among the prominent contributors were Parshu Prajapati, Devaki Devangan, Meena Sonkar, Lucky Devangan, Mohan Tiwari, Pintu Devangan, Sohan Prajapati, Lakshman Prajapati, Dubesh Prajapati, Kirti Prajapati, Bhuvaneshwari Sinha, Suresh Sinha, and Rupendra Sharma. Their day-long involvement helped in crowd management, awareness campaigns, and assistance to elderly citizens.

Alok Shroti has been consistently appealing to residents of his ward to ensure their Aadhaar cards are updated. He said such efforts would continue until all residents have current and valid Aadhaar data linked with active mobile numbers.

Ward Office In-Charge Aarti Devangan provided the official information about the camp’s success and community engagement. With both camps recording nearly 260 updates in total, the ward is now much better positioned to enable its citizens to benefit from public welfare initiatives.

The successful conduct of the second camp reflects a growing awareness among citizens and a commendable example of local governance working proactively to bridge administrative gaps.
