Taking serious note of a viral video circulating on social media, the Rajnandgaon Police carried out swift and stringent action against dangerous vehicle stunts on public roads. The video showed several vehicle drivers driving rashly and performing hazardous stunts, with minor children seen hanging inside and outside moving vehicles, posing a grave threat to public safety.

Upon the video coming to light, Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma directed immediate action. Acting under her instructions, Basantpur Police and the Traffic Police jointly registered cases against six vehicle owners and drivers under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act.

During investigation, it was revealed that drivers of six vehicles, including Creta, Gypsy and Scorpio, were driving at high speed and in a dangerous manner on public roads.
