Chikhli Police Take Action Under Sections 170, 126 and 135(3) of BNSS; Four Men Produced Before SDM Court

As part of the ongoing campaign to maintain a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in the district, Chikhli Police have taken preventive action against four men accused of engaging in disputes and disturbing public peace.
Police initiated proceedings against the four under Sections 170, 126 and 135(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and produced them before the SDM Court.
Four Men Identified for Preventive Action
According to police, the action was taken during an ongoing campaign against anti-social elements in the Chikhli outpost area. Individuals allegedly involved in disputes and activities causing unrest and disturbance of peace were identified and proceeded against.
Those named in the action are:
- Rakesh Meshram (30), son of late Bhimrao Meshram, resident of Bajrangpur Nawagaon, Ward No. 01, Bidi Colony.
- Avinash Das Manikpuri (30), son of Aarti Das Manikpuri, resident of Diwantola, Ward No. 02.
- Dhanush Sahu alias Golu (19), son of late Bhanu Sahu, resident of Raman Bazar, above Bade Talab, Ward No. 10.
- Harsh Sevta (24), son of late Hari Sevta, resident of Bajrangpur Nawagaon, Ward No. 01.
All four are residents of the Chikhli Police Outpost area of Rajnandgaon district.
Action Under Senior Police Officers’ Direction
The preventive action was carried out under the direction of Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Keertan Rathore, and supervision of City Superintendent of Police Vaishali Jain.
Police said such preventive measures are being undertaken to maintain law and order in the area and to effectively curb anti-social activities. Similar action will continue in the future, according to the police.
Chikhli Police Team Plays Key Role
The action involved Outpost In-charge Sub-Inspector Kailash Chandra Marai, Sub-Inspector Sattulal Kanwar, Trainee Sub-Inspector Durgesh Kumar Dhurandhar, Head Constable Arvind Sahu, and constables Aditya Solanki, Chandrakapur Ayam, Gopal Paikara, Sunil Bairagi, Tikaram Dhruv, Nem Singh Sahu, Tameshwar Bhuarya and Khemalal Panchari, along with other members of the Chikhli Police Outpost staff.
Police described the contribution of the team as significant in carrying out the preventive action.
