Anganwadi Workers, Helpers and Mitanins Honoured; Public Representatives Plant Moringa Saplings Under ‘Har Ghar Munga’ Campaign

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the Women and Child Development Department organised an Aangan Milan Seva programme at the Anganwadi Centre in Sonwanitola village of Chhuriya development block.
The programme focused on creating awareness among women and children about health, nutrition and overall development. Public representatives and villagers participated enthusiastically in the event, including Janpad Panchayat Chhuriya President Sanjay Sinha and Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Sunil Mandavi.
Awareness on Nutrition and Government Welfare Schemes
During the programme, Women and Child Development Department Project Officer Mrs. Markam provided detailed information about various welfare schemes being implemented by the department.
She highlighted the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet for maintaining better health among women and children.
To promote nutrition awareness, an exhibition of locally prepared nutritious dishes was organised, along with a demonstration of a nutrition plate. Women were encouraged to include food items rich in essential nutrients in their daily diet.
Maternal Dialogue on Child Health and Care
A maternal dialogue was also organised during the programme. Mothers were made aware of various aspects of children’s health, nutrition, care and hygiene.
The programme also featured attractive presentations by young children. Recreational activities, including a pot-breaking event, were organised, with children and villagers participating enthusiastically.

Anganwadi workers, helpers and Mitanins were felicitated for their work in the areas of women and child health and nutrition.
The recognition highlighted their contribution towards supporting health and nutrition-related activities at the community level.
Moringa Plantation Under ‘Har Ghar Munga’ Campaign
As part of the ‘Har Ghar Munga–Ghar-Ghar Munga’ campaign, public representatives present at the programme planted moringa saplings.
The plantation activity conveyed a message of environmental conservation and nutritional enhancement. Villagers were also made aware of the nutritional importance of moringa.
The programme was attended by the village Patel, Panchayat members, officials and employees of the Women and Child Development Department, Anganwadi workers, helpers, Mitanins and a large number of villagers.
