In a proactive outreach initiative, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav visited several labor-dominated areas of Rajnandgaon early Tuesday morning to directly engage with citizens about ongoing issues of drinking water supply and sanitation. His tour included key areas like Nawagaon, Babutola, Lakholi, and Sethinagar Kuan Chowk.

During his interactions, residents raised concerns regarding inadequate water supply, particularly citing a damaged borewell pump near the Syntex tank in Sethinagar. Responding swiftly, the Mayor instructed Municipal Water Department engineers to repair the pump, and by afternoon, both the pump and a new Syntex tank were operational.

Mayor Yadav also inspected public wells and assured citizens that the cleaning process of these water sources has been approved and will begin soon. He noted that low water levels in the Mohara River this year have contributed to water scarcity in some areas. To mitigate this, water is being supplied through tankers and additional Syntex tanks are being installed where needed.
Later, at the Sarveshwar Das School Ground, the Mayor met with local athletes and extended his support and encouragement. He also congratulated students from the school who are visiting the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly as part of their educational tour. In a cheerful moment, students confidently identified Dr. Raman Singh as the Speaker of the Assembly, to which the Mayor responded with warm wishes and appreciation for their knowledge.

Mayor Yadav emphasized the importance of collective efforts to solve civic issues like water scarcity and urged community members to cooperate with municipal teams during upcoming water supply and sanitation drives.
