Officials directed to ensure quality construction and timely completion of key city infrastructure projects

In a joint effort to review the progress of key urban development projects, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, former Member of Parliament Abhishek Singh, and Collector Jitendra Yadav conducted an inspection of several proposed and ongoing infrastructure works across Rajnandgaon city on Saturday.
During the visit, the leaders assessed the progress of multiple development projects and directed officials to ensure that all construction works are carried out with high quality standards and completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The team inspected the city’s prominent historical water reservoirs Budhasagar and Ranisagar. Officials were instructed to prepare a comprehensive development and beautification plan for both reservoirs in accordance with the available budget provisions. They emphasized that the beautification of these historic water bodies would not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the city but also boost tourism potential in Rajnandgaon.
The delegation also visited the Nalanda Complex under construction at Gaurav Path and reviewed the progress of the project. Officials were directed to maintain construction quality and expedite the work so that the facility can be completed at the earliest.
In addition, the team inspected the proposed site for the construction of a 2,000-seat state-of-the-art auditorium near Krishna Kunj in Kunj Vihar Colony. The officials were instructed to prepare a detailed project plan and initiate the construction process soon so that the city can have a modern venue for cultural, social, and public events.

The inspection also included a visit to the International Astroturf Hockey Stadium, where renovation and turf-related works are currently underway. The officials reviewed the progress of the renovation and directed the concerned departments to complete the work within the scheduled timeline while maintaining quality standards.
Several officials and public representatives were present during the inspection, including Komal Singh Rajput, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, SDM Gautam Patil, along with other concerned authorities.
The inspection reflects the administration’s focus on strengthening urban infrastructure and enhancing the city’s cultural and tourism potential through well-planned development projects.
