The Ganesh Utsav celebrations at Lakshmi Nagar Colony have turned into a vibrant social and cultural gathering, bringing together residents across age groups. Organized by the Lakshmi Nagar Colony Ganesh Utsav Committee, the festivities are marked by daily evening events following the Ganesh Aarti, each designed to strengthen community bonds and celebrate traditions.
The series of programs began on the first day with an orchestra performance, which provided a musical platform for local talent. Residents and visitors alike enjoyed devotional songs and melodies that set the tone for the days ahead. The initiative aimed to ensure that people from all sections of society felt connected to the Ganesh Utsav.
Honoring Senior Citizens
On the second day, the committee paid tribute to the wisdom and contribution of the elderly. Senior citizens including Mrs. Love Shukla, Mrs. Asha Jha, Mr. Anil Mishra, Mrs. Pushpa Baveja, Mr. Gwalu, Mrs. Rambai Sahu, Mrs. Shashi Thakur, Mrs. Saraswati Bakshi, Mrs. Asha Manjhewar, Mrs. Rukmani Sahu, and Mr. B.R. Sahu, among others, were felicitated with respect and gratitude. The gesture was warmly appreciated by the community, highlighting the importance of intergenerational respect during cultural festivities.

Bhajan Sandhya Enchants Residents
Tuesday evening witnessed a soulful Bhajan Sandhya, where devotees immersed themselves in devotional songs. The program saw enthusiastic participation from residents and featured a special performance by a devotional music troupe from Gondia. Their powerful renditions mesmerized the audience, leaving the colony soaked in spiritual fervor.
The celebrations were made possible with the support of several community members, including Sanjay Bahadur Singh of Chhattisgarh Rajput Mahasabha, Rajendra Gajbhiye, Pratima Sahu, Sapna Sahu, Sunder Shukla, Lomesh Sahu, Amit Jha, Prakash Shukla, and Manish Mejarwar.
