Komal Singh Rajput Says Congress Workers’ Demonstration During Global Tech Event in New Delhi Reflects “Moral and Ideological Collapse”; Accuses Opposition of Attempting to Tarnish India’s Image

Komal Singh Rajput, district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly condemned the alleged nude protest by Congress workers during the recently held AI summit in New Delhi, describing it as a “pre-planned conspiracy” orchestrated by Rahul Gandhi to insult India on the global stage.
In a sharply worded statement issued on Saturday, Rajput claimed that the incident at the international technology gathering — referred to as the AI Impact Summit — represented a new low in political conduct. He alleged that Congress workers were instructed to carry political posters and stage an “indecent protest” during the event attended by international delegates.
“The Congress has attempted to embarrass the country on several occasions in the past, but this incident reflects the party’s extreme moral decline, shamelessness, and intellectual bankruptcy,” Rajput said. He further alleged that the protest was carried out under Gandhi’s provocation, calling it evidence of what he described as the party’s “complete ideological collapse.”
Rajput contrasted the incident with what he termed India’s growing global stature under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that while the government is focused on innovation, development, and nation-building, the opposition — particularly the Indian National Congress — has become synonymous with obstruction and negativity.

Expressing anger over the episode, the BJP leader said youth activists associated with the party had protested outside Congress offices to draw public attention to what he called the opposition’s “dirty and semi-nude political mindset.” He alleged that the summit had been targeted deliberately and that individuals were mobilised, registered for participation, and then incited to carry out the act.
According to Rajput, the controversy comes at a time when India is gaining global recognition for technological advancement and leadership in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence. He accused the Congress leadership of choosing a path that damages the nation’s reputation internationally.
“The only reason behind such acts is that Rahul Gandhi cannot tolerate India’s rise on the global stage,” he said, warning that the Congress should refrain from such actions or risk becoming politically irrelevant in the future.
The Congress has not issued an official response to these allegations at the time of publication. The incident has, however, intensified political tensions, with both parties trading accusations over the conduct of protests during high-profile international events hosted in India.
