District Administration’s innovative initiative receives state-level recognition for significant progress in malnutrition eradication

The innovative Hamar Swasth Laika (Our Healthy Child) programme of the Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki District Administration has been honored at Rajyotsav 2025 for outstanding work in the field of nutrition and health. The initiative has made notable strides in improving child nutrition and maternal health within the district.
The award was presented by the Minister for Skill Development, Technical Education, Employment and Scheduled Caste Development, Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb. On this occasion, members of partner organizations, including Dr. Polomi from ABIS Group, Dr. Aparna Deshpande and Dr. Mahendra Prajapati from UNICEF Chhattisgarh, and Shri John Varun and Shri Vishnu Pandey from AIIMS Raipur, were also felicitated for their contribution.
District Nutrition Coordinator Shri Rupesh Chakradhari, Block Nutrition Coordinator Shri Satish Sahu, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, and the entire team of the Women and Child Development Department were awarded certificates for their effective role in implementing the programme.

This achievement reflects the visionary leadership and continuous guidance of Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati, under whose direction the Hamar Swasth Laika programme has successfully advanced community-based nutrition rehabilitation, maternal health awareness, and technical innovations to fight malnutrition. The programme has gained special appreciation at the state level for its impactful results.
District Programme Officer Shri Mishra stated that the honor is the outcome of strong teamwork, dedication of Anganwadi workers, committed efforts of the Women and Child Development Department, and continuous support from collaborating institutions. He added that the recognition will further inspire all stakeholders to continue working collectively to achieve the goal of making the district free from malnutrition.
