Marking the auspicious occasion of Pushya Nakshatra, the District Ayush Department, in collaboration with Chhattisgarh Ayurveda Medical College, Manki, organized a free Swarna Prashan Sanskar camp at the Government Ayush Polyclinic, Deendayal Nagar, Chikhli. The camp, conducted for children aged between 1 and 16 years, witnessed the participation of 121 children who received the traditional Ayurvedic immunity-enhancing treatment.

District Ayush Officer Dr. Shilpa Mishra explained that Swarna Prashan helps in strengthening immunity, improving digestion, and enhancing both mental and physical development in children. “The process involves administration of gold ash along with intellect-boosting herbs like Brahmi, Vacha, and Shankhpushpi, which aid in sharpening memory, strengthening metabolism, and ensuring healthy growth,” she said.
Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Pragya Saxena emphasized that Swarna Prashan, as described in ancient Ayurvedic texts, is an important preventive measure that protects children from recurring illnesses and supports their holistic development.
