Farewell Ceremony Held for Retired Teachers of Kirgi Cluster in Dongargaon Block

The Kirgi Cluster of Dongargaon Block recently hosted an emotional and dignified farewell ceremony for retired educators including Senior Teacher and former Cluster Coordinator Kirti Kumar Gangber, Senior Teacher Chetan Singh Sahu, and Head Teacher of Rudgaon Middle School, Dilip Chandra Khobragade.

The program was presided over by Block Education Officer R.L. Patre, and commenced with a prayer to Goddess Saraswati. Cluster Principal Narottam Lal Kamariya welcomed the attendees, followed by a tribute to the retirees’ careers delivered by Head Teacher Mangal Das Banjare, and senior teachers S.L. Sinha and Rajesh Sonkar from Kirgi.

Educators such as Manohar Lal Sahu (Rattapayali), Mahendra Kumar Baghel (Kirgi), and others fondly recalled the memorable moments shared with the retirees and extended heartfelt wishes for a long and prosperous life. Retired teacher Salik Ram Sahu also presented a song during the event.

Mamta Vishwakarma, In-Charge Principal of High School Rudgaon, highlighted the commendable contributions of the retiring teachers, while Lecturer Chandrakar Sir from Higher Secondary School Kirgi shared his thoughts on their legacy.

In his concluding speech, BEO R.L. Patre provided insights into the pension process, gratuity, and other formalities, and emphasized teachers’ responsibilities in shaping schools. Each retiring teacher was honored with mementos and tokens of appreciation.

The vote of thanks and formal closure of the program was presented by Cluster Academic Coordinator Mehandu Ram Patel. The event was anchored by Sundar Sahu, and coordinated by Santosh Dewangan. Numerous teachers and staff from nearby schools attended, including Ravindra Raman Sahu, Bharati Sahu, Chandrabhan Sahu, and many others, all extending their best wishes for the retirees’ future.
