In a significant stride towards sustainable development, the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded a 200 MW Solar Balance of System (BoS) package to Amar Infrastructure under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme Phase II. The contract, announced on November 10, underscores Madhya Pradesh’s growing prominence as a solar powerhouse.
The BoS package includes critical components like inverters, transformers, and civil works essential for grid-connected solar PV projects. Valued at crores, this award will bolster MP’s renewable portfolio, targeting Tranche-III developments. Amar Infrastructure, known for timely executions, beat stiff competition, promising completion within stipulated timelines.

A SECI spokesperson stated, “This 200 MW allocation in Madhya Pradesh reinforces our commitment to 100 GW solar capacity by 2030. It ensures domestic manufacturing under Make in India while minimizing land and transmission hurdles.” The project falls under government-owned schemes, guaranteeing power purchase at viable tariffs.
Madhya Pradesh, already a leader with over 2.5 GW installed solar capacity, benefits immensely. CM Mohan Yadav welcomed the move, tweeting, “Another feather in MP’s green cap! This will generate employment and power remote areas sustainably.” Industry experts estimate 500+ direct jobs during construction, plus indirect opportunities in logistics and maintenance.
This comes amid MP’s aggressive renewable push – from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Park to rooftop incentives. The state aims for 20 GW by 2030, leveraging vast barren lands and high irradiation. Environmentalists hail it as a step against coal dependency, reducing carbon emissions significantly.

Challenges remain, like evacuation infrastructure, but SECI’s tranche-based approach mitigates risks. Similar awards in Andhra Pradesh highlight national momentum. As modules get cheaper and efficiency rises, such projects promise affordable green power for households and, lighting up MP’s future literally and figuratively.
With global focus on COP30 outcomes, this contract signals India’s resolve. Amar Infrastructure gears up for groundbreaking soon – a bright spark in MP’s energy landscape!
