Aadhaar Updates for Children Prioritised; Summer Drinking Water Planning, Fertiliser Availability and PM SHRI School Monitoring Reviewed

Jitendra Yadav, Collector of Rajnandgaon, directed health officials to ensure quality treatment for patients at the district hospital and avoid unnecessary referrals. Chairing the weekly review meeting at the Collectorate conference hall, he emphasised that the District Hospital and Government Medical College share the responsibility of providing effective healthcare services so that patients receive proper treatment locally.
The Collector reviewed institutional delivery arrangements and hospital requirements, noting that patients from sub-health centres, primary health centres, and community health centres are often referred to the district hospital, making its role crucial. He instructed officials to prioritise Aadhaar updates for children in the 0–5 and 5–15 age groups across government and private schools as well as Anganwadi centres.
Reviewing urban development initiatives, the Collector directed authorities to expedite construction works under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). He also informed that as per new government orders, beneficiaries in municipal corporation areas possessing proof of occupation on safe land can be considered eligible under the scheme and should be provided benefits accordingly.
Keeping the upcoming summer season in mind, the Collector instructed officials to identify locations that previously faced drinking water shortages and ensure timely solutions in both urban and rural areas. He sought updates from Chief Municipal Officers and Janpad CEOs regarding water supply arrangements and directed immediate resolution of issues to prevent public inconvenience.
A detailed review was conducted of pending cases under CM Jan Darshan, PG Portal, Collector Jan Darshan, and weekly time-limit programmes. The Collector also stressed the importance of achieving excellent performance across all parameters of the Atal Monitoring Portal, seeking updates on the implementation of government schemes related to health, education, and infrastructure.
On agriculture-related matters, he directed officials to accelerate paddy procurement lifting operations and speed up TO issuance processes. Ensuring adequate availability of fertilisers and seeds for farmers was highlighted as a priority, with instructions for advance stocking and distribution. He also called for the monthly observance of Rice Festival activities.

The Collector emphasised punctuality in government offices, directing strict implementation of biometric attendance systems and instructing all officers to remain present at headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Progress on the e-office system implementation was also reviewed.
In the education sector, he directed continuous inspections of PM SHRI Schools to maintain quality standards and ensure timely completion of construction works. He further instructed departments to prepare academic plans for Classes 9 to 12 from April 1 to maintain continuity in studies.
The AYUSH and Health departments were asked to work in coordination to promote healthy lifestyles and awareness. The Collector reviewed activities at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, including yoga sessions, medical consultations, tele-consultancy services, and biomedical waste management arrangements.
Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Suruchi Singh directed the rollout of biometric attendance systems across all government offices and instructed Panchayat secretaries to complete registrations for implementation in Gram Panchayats as well.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Forest Officer Ayush Jain, Additional Collectors C L Markandeya and Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, SDMs including M Bhargav, Shrikant Koram, and Gautam Patil, along with other district officials.
