In a detailed review session, the district administration, led by the Collector, directed officials to expedite recruitment for vacant health sector posts and ensure effective implementation of welfare programs.

Under the 100-Day TB Identification and Treatment Campaign, emphasis was placed on providing nutritional support to patients. The Collector urged that more NGOs and citizens should be motivated to participate in the distribution of nutritional kits.

Focusing on sickle cell disease, the Collector instructed that screening efforts must be intensified, and immediate treatment, medicine distribution, and counseling for patients must be prioritized.

Special attention was given to ensuring adequate availability of medicines at Jan Aushadhi Centers across the district. Under the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program, it was mandated that 100% of eligible patients must benefit, and a detailed action plan should be prepared for optimal use of dialysis machines.

Further, aiming for a “Cataract-Free District,” the Collector called for accelerated surgeries and outreach to cataract patients. Considering the ongoing summer heat, directives were issued to release a public advisory to prevent heatwave-related illnesses.

A comprehensive review was also conducted regarding the National Leprosy Eradication Program, epidemic control measures, anemia eradication, Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiatives, National Child Health Program, National Urban Health Mission, and Vector-Borne Disease Control Programs covering malaria, dengue, and filariasis.

District Panchayat CEO Ms. Suruchi Singh emphasized timely data entry for sickle cell patients and stressed that the benefits of Jan Aushadhi Centers must reach the maximum number of citizens. She also highlighted the importance of public awareness campaigns regarding heatwave precautions.
