Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav on Wednesday held an extensive review meeting with school principals, Block Education Officers (BEOs), and Mathematics and English teachers to improve academic performance, particularly the half-yearly and board examination results. The meeting was conducted in two sessions at the District Panchayat conference hall.
Emphasising the need for quality education, the Collector directed all principals to work with special focus on academic standards and learning outcomes. He expressed strong displeasure over schools that failed to deliver satisfactory examination results and made it clear that the district’s overall school performance must improve.
The Collector stressed that Class 10 and Class 12 board results should be excellent, and for this, schools must prepare structured action plans and work with full commitment. He reminded teachers that they play a crucial role in shaping students’ futures and driving positive change in society. “Improving the quality of education should be the top priority,” he said.
Mr. Yadav instructed schools to ensure regular student attendance, timely completion of the syllabus, and consistent practice of previous years’ question papers. He also directed teachers to identify weak subjects and conduct special classes during holidays. For board classes, he emphasised the need for extra classes and daily exam-oriented practice, including regular problem-solving sessions.
