Certificates and mementos awarded for excellence in groundwater conservation and housing scheme implementation

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav on Wednesday felicitated officers and employees for their outstanding performance in the field of rural development by presenting certificates of appreciation and mementos at a programme held in the District Panchayat conference hall.
The officials honoured included Chief Executive Officers of Janpad Panchayats, Technical Assistants, Employment Assistants, Programme Officers, and Awas Mitras, who have played a significant role in implementing key government schemes at the grassroots level. District Panchayat CEO Suroochi Singh was present on the occasion.
The recognition was accorded to those who made exemplary contributions in the areas of groundwater conservation and augmentation, as well as officials and staff who ensured quality, transparency, and timely completion of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
Addressing the gathering, Collector Jitendra Yadav said that groundwater conservation and augmentation are directly linked to the district’s long-term needs and sustainability. He emphasised that the objective of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide safe and permanent housing to families living without homes or in kutcha houses.

He lauded the role of field-level officers, employees, and Awas Mitras, stating that their dedication and commitment are crucial to the effective implementation of development schemes. “Certificates and mementos are not just symbols of honour, but also a source of motivation to work with greater dedication, responsibility, and quality in the future,” the Collector said.
Several other district-level officials were also present during the felicitation ceremony.
