Former Chief Minister Extends Festive Greetings, Encourages Committees and Interacts with Devotees

The vibrant Ganesh Utsav celebrations in Rajnandgaon witnessed a special moment on Wednesday night when Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and popular local legislator Dr. Raman Singh visited several Ganesh pandals across the city. The former Chief Minister offered prayers, performed aarti, and extended festive greetings to devotees, while also encouraging various organizing committees for their dedicated efforts.

Accompanied by Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, District BJP President Komal Singh Rajput, Akash Chopra, and Bhavesh Baid, Dr. Singh began his evening tour with darshan of Lord Ganesha’s idols at prominent pandals. At some venues, he performed aarti, at others he offered flowers or distributed prasadam, creating an atmosphere of devotion and celebration.
Dr. Singh was warmly welcomed at several renowned pandals including Bal Samaj, Sumati Mandal, Laghu Mandal, Navratan Mandal, Shyam Mitra Mandal, and Ramadhin Marg, where committee members felicitated him with enthusiasm. At Ramadhin Marg, community leaders including Rohit Sharma and Shubham Tiwari, along with their associates, accorded a grand reception to Dr. Singh. The resonating chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” filled the air, energizing devotees and adding to the festive spirit.

At Sadar Bazaar’s Mitra Mandal, Dr. Singh not only offered prayers but also paused to distribute prasadam among devotees, engaging with them in a warm and personal manner. His presence brought a unique blend of spirituality and community bonding to the celebrations.
Maintaining his tradition, Dr. Raman Singh also visited the Patidar Bhavan on Jiti Road, where members of the Gujarati community had organized Ganesh festivities. He spent considerable time there, performing rituals and interacting with community members.

Several senior BJP leaders and local representatives, including National Council Member Khubchand Parakh, veteran leader Rajendra Golcha, former district president Ramesh Patel, and others joined the Assembly Speaker during his pandal visits.
Dr. Raman Singh’s participation in the Ganesh Utsav not only reinforced his deep connection with the people of Rajnandgaon but also highlighted the cultural vibrancy of the city, where tradition, devotion, and community spirit come together during the festival.
