To offer respite from the extreme summer heat, the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has launched a free drinking water initiative in collaboration with the Mobile Association and the District Sarafa Association. The project involves setting up Pyaau Ghars—permanent and mobile drinking water stations—across key locations in Rajnandgaon.
District President of the Chamber, Kamlesh Baid, informed that all trade associations have been urged to actively participate in this noble cause. The first installations were inaugurated at Ganj Line by the Mobile Association and at Bharatmata Chowk by the District Sarafa Association.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests including former Cabinet Minister Khubchand Parkh, State Vice President Alok Bindal, State Secretary Tarun Laherwani, Arun Dulani from the Mobile Association, and Nathmal Kotadiya from the Sarafa Association, along with other senior members and office bearers from the Chamber, Mobile Association, and Sarafa Association.
The Chamber also announced plans to expand the initiative further in the coming days, ensuring clean drinking water is accessible to all citizens during the peak summer months.
