Budget Empowers Farmers’ Interests, Strengthens Rural Economy: Mulchand Lodhi

BJP Kisan Morcha Leader Says Provisions on Irrigation, MSP Procurement and Mechanisation Will Boost Farmers’ Income

Mulchand Lodhi, State Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha, has welcomed the budget presented by the Chhattisgarh government, describing it as a strong step toward empowering farmers, the poor, and the rural economy. He said the budget focuses on increasing farmers’ income, making agriculture more profitable, and ensuring holistic rural development.

Lodhi stated that provisions for agricultural infrastructure, expansion of irrigation facilities, strengthening procurement systems at Minimum Support Price (MSP), and promotion of farm mechanisation are highly commendable. “These initiatives will directly benefit lakhs of farmers across the state by reducing cultivation costs and increasing productivity,” he said.

He further emphasised that the government’s approach is not limited to crop production but also includes promotion of animal husbandry, horticulture, organic farming, and agriculture-based industries, which will create additional sources of income for farmers. According to him, the budget reflects the vision of “Prosperous Farmers – Empowered Chhattisgarh.”

The BJP leader said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is continuously working for farmers’ welfare, and the budget demonstrates its commitment toward agricultural prosperity.

Concluding his remarks, Lodhi expressed gratitude to the state government and said the Kisan Morcha would take the budget’s information to villages to ensure that maximum farmers benefit from government schemes.
