Kamaljeet Singh Pintu, Congress spokesperson and senior party leader, has criticised the Chhattisgarh state budget, calling it disappointing and disconnected from ground realities. He alleged that the financial plan fails to address the expectations of youth, farmers, women, and the common public.
Speaking to the media, Pintu said there are no concrete provisions in the budget to strengthen employment opportunities, agriculture, or industrial growth. “The budget does not meet the aspirations of farmers, youth, and ordinary citizens. It is far removed from ground realities and offers little hope for economic improvement,” he stated.
He further claimed that there is inadequate focus on education and agriculture-based industries, which are essential for sustainable development and job creation. According to him, the absence of clear initiatives for employment generation raises concerns about the government’s priorities.

The Congress leader also questioned the lack of provision regarding the promise of providing cooking gas cylinders at ₹500, stating that the public had expected clarity and financial allocation on the issue. “There is no mention of the ₹500 LPG cylinder promise, which was a major commitment. This has disappointed people,” he said.
Pintu concluded that the budget appears more symbolic than practical and urged the government to introduce policies that directly benefit the common population and address real economic challenges faced by the state.
