₹30 Lakh Announced for Atal Sadbhavana Bhavan and ₹5 Lakh for Model Jaitkham in Somni Village

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh attended the Guru Ghasidas Baba Jayanti programme organised at Mini Mata Market Chowk in Somni village on Thursday. Paying floral tributes to the portrait of Guru Ghasidas Baba, Dr Singh sought his blessings and extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Assembly Speaker announced a grant of ₹30 lakh for the construction of an Atal Sadbhavana Bhavan in Somni village, along with ₹5 lakh for the construction of a model Jaitkham. He congratulated the residents on Guru Ghasidas Jayanti and said that Baba Guru Ghasidas had shown society a new and righteous path based on peace, harmony and unity.

Dr Raman Singh said that the white flag of Guru Ghasidas Baba symbolises peace, brotherhood, harmony and social unity. He emphasised that Baba Guru Ghasidas dedicated his life to uniting society and eliminating social discrimination, which was the very purpose of his incarnation. He added that with the blessings of Guru Ghasidas Baba, the nation and the state are progressing steadily on the path of peace, prosperity and development.
Highlighting development works at Giroudpuri Dham, the birthplace of Guru Ghasidas Baba, Dr Singh said that a Jaitkham taller than the Qutub Minar, along with roads and several other infrastructure projects, has been constructed to enhance the religious and cultural significance of the site.

The welcome address at the programme was delivered by Dr Dadulal Joshi. The event was attended by social worker Komal Singh Rajput, District Panchayat member Angeshwar Deshmukh, Sarpanch Neelima Sahu, Satnami Samaj President Tameshwar Banjare, Secretary Ashwini Bandhe, Rohit Chandrakar, SDM Rajnandgaon Gautam Patil, other public representatives, and a large number of members of the Satnami community and villagers.
