In a decisive push towards full digitization of administrative processes, Collector Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure chaired the weekly time-limit meeting today at the Collectorate conference hall, issuing strict directives for the implementation of the e-office system across all government departments by August 31, 2025.

Collector Bhure emphasized that post-August 31, no physical files, correspondence, or documents will be accepted, and all official work must be conducted exclusively through the e-office platform. “This transition is essential to bring speed, transparency, and accountability in government operations. Departments must act with urgency and seriousness,” he asserted.

The NIC portal has already been developed to facilitate the issuance of official identity cards to all officers and employees. The collector instructed departments to ensure these are prepared as a priority.

“The successful implementation of e-office will require dedication and learning,” said Bhure. “This is a transformative step for Chhattisgarh’s administration and must be treated as such.” He added that all government communications, file movement, and document exchanges will henceforth be conducted digitally, ensuring seamless documentation and increased efficiency.

Bhure also directed departments to begin using e-office immediately, cautioning that the deadline of August 31 leaves little time for delays.

Focus on Pension and Public Welfare Initiatives

During the meeting, the Collector laid special emphasis on resolving pending pension cases of retired officers and employees. He warned against delays, noting that pension-related bottlenecks often cause distress to retirees. “Pension processing should begin at least three months before retirement,” he stated, while also ordering timely disposal of cases under both old and new pension schemes.

District Treasury Officer Dilip Singh provided a detailed briefing on the required documentation for pension disbursement and emphasized prompt submission of files by DDOs.

DMF Proposals for Public Welfare Invited

The Collector also instructed departments to prepare and submit proposals under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) for public welfare projects. These include livelihood initiatives for women’s self-help groups such as setting up processing units and sewing machine centers, as well as repair work in Anganwadi centers and schools.

“DMF should be utilized effectively to improve local infrastructure and livelihood opportunities. Timely submission of project proposals will ensure that funds are utilized where they are most needed,” Bhure emphasized.

Key Officials Present

The meeting was attended by senior officials including DFO Ayush Jain, Additional Collectors C.L. Markandeya and Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, SDMs Khem Lal Verma (Rajnandgaon), Shrikant Koram (Dongargaon), and Abhishek Tiwari (Dongargarh), among others.
