Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the BJP headquarters in the national capital late Friday night, joyously waving a traditional ‘gamcha’ to cheering party workers as the NDA secured a resounding victory in the Bihar Assembly elections. Accompanied by Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda, the Prime Minister’s spirited gesture marked the culmination of a hard-fought campaign that reaffirmed the alliance’s dominance in the state.
Official results declared earlier in the day confirmed the NDA’s clear majority, crossing the magic figure well before midnight. The win, described by party leaders as a “people’s mandate for development and stability,” saw the BJP-JD(U) combine sweep key regions, including Mithilanchal and Seemanchal, while consolidating support in rural heartlands.

Addressing jubilant supporters from the party office balcony, PM Modi thanked the people of Bihar for their unwavering trust. “This victory belongs to every farmer, youth, and woman who dreams of a Viksit Bihar,” he said, emphasizing continuity in governance under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. JP Nadda hailed the result as a rejection of “divisive politics” and a endorsement of the double-engine growth model.
The high-voltage polls, contested across 243 seats, witnessed record voter turnout and intense multi-cornered battles. Opposition alliances failed to breach the NDA’s fortress, with internal discord and lack of a unified narrative cited as key factors in their defeat. Political analysts noted that welfare schemes, infrastructure push, and Modi’s personal charisma played pivotal roles in the outcome.

As fireworks lit up the Delhi sky and ‘Bihar Jeet Gaya’ slogans echoed through the night, the victory sets the stage for accelerated development initiatives in the state over the next five years. Senior BJP leaders indicated that a cabinet expansion and policy roadmap would be finalized in the coming days.
