Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai chaired a comprehensive review meeting in Raipur on September 29, 2025, spotlighting Chhattisgarh’s transformative strides in Bastar, where anti-Maoist operations have neutralized over 250 insurgents this year while unlocking ₹7 lakh crore in investments.

Addressing collectors from seven Naxal-affected districts, Sai detailed 165 surrenders facilitated by rehabilitation camps and the “Niyad Nellanar” scheme, which has electrified 500 remote villages. The session emphasized eco-tourism as a prosperity engine, with ₹250 crore allocated for Chitrakot Falls circuits, 600 homestays, and wildlife trails in Kanger Valley, projecting 25,000 jobs for tribal youth.

Agri-reforms include hybrid seeds for 2.5 lakh farmers and dairy clusters under the “Godhan Nyay Yojana” revival, targeting doubled incomes by 2027. Sai credited the “double-engine” synergy with Delhi for the investment surge in steel and renewables, but flagged road connectivity gaps in Abujhmad.

Union Home Ministry observers endorsed the 2026 Naxal-free target, pledging drone fleets. Critics from tribal forums, however, decried militarization’s ecological toll, demanding 50% revenue shares for locals. Sai’s conclave reaffirms Bastar’s pivot from conflict to growth, weaving security, culture, and economy into a resilient tribal renaissance.
